It's just a hereditary thing. It doesn't mean it came from your parents, it could have come from someone way far back in your ancestry. My husband is 24 and he had greys by the time he was 20! He has been to Iraq twice though.

There's a wide range of "normal". I'm 27 and I don't have any gray hairs, but that doesn't meant that someone else is weird if they do. It likely depends a lot on heredity. Smoking doesn't cause gray hair, per se, but it certainly isn't good for you and can run your whole body down.

It's completely normal to have gray hair that young. I went to school with a girl whose hair was almost completely gray by the time she was 16. I received half my grays right after I left grad school. I think the stress really helped them along. I think it's just your genetic make- up. As far as smoking....smoking is the cause of alot of health issues....but gray hair is not on the list.

Yes, it's nothing more then genetics. I've had grey since I was 16 ( i'm now 23) and my mom got them at 14.
