What might happen to my hair if i do this?

I am planning on dying my hair jet black in about a week. My hair is currently light brown/dark blondish(srry couldnt get pic). I am just worried and wanted to no if there is any way that my hair could actually turn out bein like a brown or even gray due to the drastic jump from light to dark. Also if there is any special hair color that could prevent this, plz let me no.

It'll be fine, as long as you touch up your roota now and again, cos u wouldnt wanna have dark blonsish roots and jet black hair LOL :) it might take you a while to get used to the darkness, it did me, and my hair was already dark brown

When your making a huge color change like that sometimes the hairdresser will need to die your hair a dark dark brown , then go on to black. I don't think it will do anything bad to your hair , but after a while your brown roots will start to show.

Its kind of difficult without seeing your hair. If its too dark you should probably bleach it.

jet black is jet black no matter what you do.. that color will be just that no matter what your color is.

long as you mix properly and leave on for longer than 20 minutes.

i used to jet black my hair for ages... now i just dye my hair pink.

buy the haircolor from a beauty supply store. If you have questions about different brands, ask the clerks at the store. they will have a ll the answers.

That's easy; You'll just look like a person with died black hair. I noticed it on the young girls who go for the drastic black (almost like the ones who wear drastic red) it just tends to stick out to us who use to color their hair. So you recognize people who do. It will look like the young kids who die their hair to obtain the "Gothic look." You just know its dyed."

When people color their hair to cover gray, it the same thing it looks like someone took a crayon to their head and colored it in. To kids, it will look like hair. To one who is trained it will look dyed and black.
