Why do OLD WOMEN with little hair spend hours in hairdressers ?

i always find it funny passing by a hair stylists and seen a geriatric women with few gray scraggly hair spending hours in there . who are they trying to look pretty for ? is it simply from boredom and a chance to socialise ?

maybe because when there starting to loose there hair and it gets to a point where its really embarasing they want to do something about it!!! because say if they go shopping, and there surrounded with people with long, wavy sexy hair!!! there gonna want some of that dont you think???

Because even at their old age, they still want to look beautiful for their husband, family and friends. :) It doesn't mean that your old that you have to neglect yourself. Old women still want to look pleasant and not scraggly. I mean, we all want our grandmothers to look nice! :)

Because when they get perms or hair set, fuffed and teased they are hoping for the illusion that they have more hair. Is there an age where you should no longer care how you look or not attempt to feel good about yourself? Why do men do comb-overs or dye their hair jet black when they have a gray beard? Balding men can shave their heads, woman don't feel comfortable doing that.
