Silver hair?

Ok, I want to dye my hair silver or silverish gray. My parents are kinda unsure. I have hair down to my bottom. I'm 15 years old.

What should I do?

ask them to frist do the dye in a temporary one. If they are still unsure after that, ask that once in a while you can do a temporary one (try to do it till they accept the idea).

wow. um, when i see guy with that long of air its kind of awkward.. i really think that you should cut your hair to at least the tippy top of your shoulders..

theres nothing wrong with you having long hair it just looks awkward to me. sorry. but if you like your long hair you should keep it.

if you are a guy then you should cut your hair at least to your shoulders so you can still have some length. i would do a temporary hair dye first just to make sure you actually like the silver hair and then if you like it dye it permantly

If your hair is naturally dark, then they're going to have to strip all the colour out of it before they dye it silver. Then you're going to have deal with regrowth in about 4-6 weeks time, which will look hideous, and mean you'll have to colour your hair again, regularly. Once you start dyeing your hair, you have to keep it up or it looks naff. You have to go to a professional or it'll look even worse, so that means lots of money.

My recommendation would be either to go with streaks/highlights or something cool and not too hard to maintain, or leave it alone - sounds like your hair is probably pretty amazing all ready.

ok I love the whole long hair thing. I have always had really long hair. You might want to consider donating it. There are many young children who have had cancer or have recovered and do not have a full head of hair. You would truly be making a difference in someones life. it is a great feeling. If not...(I had a hards time doing it, I cried) I would ask yourself a question. Do you think you are a great person? If not, I would not dye it any extreme color. Young people are very critical, and you do not want to regret something unless you know you will love it. You will receive criticism, believe me there will be. If you don't care or are just trying to make a fashion statement. You go girl!
