Which are more attractive braids or curly hair?

So this is my final question about hair. I've been wigging it for 6 months since a bad relaxer. My hair is about 3 inches after I had to cut it off twice. The relaxer scared me, seems age has made my hair rebel against relaxers and plus trying to cover the gray makes my hair weaker when I color it. I could go for a weave as the wig is tedious and at night I look like Buckwheat (unattractive and my husband jokes me...) I hate that. So I'm deciding whether to get braids or a weave? The question of whether it is fashionable or not is prevalent in my mind. I am now 44 but look about 30. I don't want to get caught in the middle aged woman's trap of wearing an outdated style. I appeal to you young and old to chime in and tell me. I'm leaning towards braids but then I don't want to be like Peaches and Herb or too 90's. Are they still in style? I don't look good in the teeny afro and it's too cold for it anyway. Ideas? I am a teacher, slightly overweight and I dress well. Thx

I personally like curly hair but if you don't want to wear your short hair out I would suggest getting braids but using either deep wave or wet and wavy human hair to braid it. They are still in style and that is what I use so I get a mixture of both braids and curly hair. Since your hair is short these braids will look even better on you because the ends are out, so you can have best of both worlds.

i would get it wet than braid then the next day take it out so there is a little of both because i like both..........................
