I need women's perspective on graying hair on a younger man????

I'm a single, 37-year old. 6'2", athletic and ok looking. I have dark brown hair and green eyes. I started out with a little grey on the sides, but in the last year, it is really grey on the sides and starting to fill in on the top just a little with grey. I'm athletic and very youthful. I date women of all ages and I run with both older friends and a younger crowd. I also generally look young. I feel like I'm at a crossroad with the hair. I either need to go with it, or start coloring it. If I color it, I'll do it well. But I also feel like it is so fake. I'm a guy's guy - no metro in me at all. But I'm always willing to take some steps in that direction if it helps my looks. I try to dress well and take care of myself. I really don't want people thinking I'm "old" when I'm so youthful.

I've also heard that some women, even young women, love the grey + green eyes look and that it could work for me. Anyway, I feel like I need to decide soon or I'll be past the poin

A nice head of grey hair is a million times more attractive than dyed hair with grey roots or the balding look.

That old cliche about men with grey hair looking "distinguished" is absolutely true in my opinion- if you are careful with styling and maintain an attractive haircut, grey hair can definitely be sexy.

color it close to your natural color. not so fake, and it hides the gray. both sides win

I am 32 and I think grey is HOT!!! It just shows maturity. Obviously you keep in good shape, so dont worry about the grey.

this can look good on a man but it can also be ageing, so it is upto you really .but do remember if you start to colour the grey you will have to keep on doing so.

I agree- hair color on men always looks pretty fake. Men have it made, because most women (especially younger women) think graying hair on a man is a sign of maturity (although that's never really been proven, in my opinion!). It will age your look, yes, but men don't really suffer from that stigma as much as women do. I say rock the gray, man, especially if you can't see yourself doing hair color touch ups every 3-4 weeks.

honestly, some gray is hott. especially the gray hair green eyes combo. if your hair is starting to look like taylor hicks, then its bad. but if your not completely comfortable with the grays, get a few low lights in color close or identical to your hair. it will eliminate a majority of the gray, but there will still be some. if your comfortable with the grays, flaunt em. the other major thing, you have to have the personality to match the sexiness of the grays.

Wow, you sound really yummy. Don't dye your hair....you'll look fake. I love guys with a bit of salt-and-pepper hair....it makes them look more mature and super sexy. Think of Richard Gere when he was a bit younger. Do you think a lot of women would have told him to dye his hair??
