Why did my highlights turn green and blue/gray?

i just got my hair done and it was a disaster for the past 6yrs i had gone pretty light. this time i wanted a darker color while still having a few blond highlights by my face so thats what my hair dresser was doing and once we saw the results i was shoked the highlights were blonde/green/gray/and blue and my hair turned black i dont mind the black so much but the technicolor highlights are bringing me down. the hairdresser said he couldnt do anything at the momment w/o damaging my hair so now im thinking of what i can do?

Your hair may have to grow out some before it's strong enough for more permanent coloring. But in the meantime, there are plenty of color rinses that aren't permanent and that will cover the colors until they fade. Back in the '70s, I had my hair frosted and then when I got tired of it made the mistake of dying my hair dark brown, and all the frosted areas came out green. I covered it up with "Loving Care" a hair rinse that's made to color grey in your hair. Good luck. But, take some pictures first. You'll have a good laugh with them in a few years.
