I have naturally dark brown hair with a few gray hairs. I last dyed it a dark reddish brown but now I want to go light brown, like honey or caramel color. Any recomendations?

Let me say this on this site for the 100th time this week: You can not lift out artificial color with another color. You must use a lightener. You probably have regrowth, a few grays and unwanted red/ brown. This is a professional job. I do not suggest just dumping a darker color over and then highlighting through. I also equally do not suggest bleaching the heck out of this. You MUST remove some of the dark red/ brown prior to other coloring. Your base color should consist of a sem- perm product. A perm product is not the proper choice for this situation. This can be gently done. Consult with a good colorist and ask them their opinion. Make sure your hair is in good enough condition to endure all this. Be patient with your colorist- this is a big job. You will of course also have to maintain your look.
