Goldendoodle hair!?

Well, I have a year old goldendoodle, and i cut her hair about 3 months ago. It was about 7 inches long before i cut it off and now it is about 3? I was wondering if any one knows how long it will take to grow back? also her hair is turning gray but she is only 1 year old. She only has gray hair on her paws and a little bit on her head. please help!

I am getting a goldendoodle puppy for Christmas. I'm really excited, I've asked for pictures of the lines for fun. Maybe you can get pictures of the parents or a family tree from the breeder and see where the gray may be coming from. It's not because your dog is getting old (that's kind of funny, if you think that). I personally look forward to finding out what my puppy will grow up to look like. If I was concerned about making my dog look like every other dog out there I would have bought a pure bred, but I am concerned about the temperment so I do want to know what breeds are in the dog. As far as the hair growing back goes, it may take a while. My daughter cut her hair at a young age and the hairstylist told me that it stunted her hair growth and it took over a year for her bangs to be long enough to look like bangs:) I guess If you are so concerned about the length of hair, then you shouldn't cut it next time, just groom her weekly. Don't worry, your dog is still cute no matter what it looks like, because she is your dog.

what color was the poodle parent? if the poodle parent was gray or black that's probably where that coloring is coming from. and i don't know how long it takes to grow back, since they don't technically have a breed standard since they're technically mutts, that varies from dog to dog.

There is no such thing as a "Goldendoodle"; you got sucked in by whoever "BRED" this litter of puppies!!

There is no way to tell for sure how long it will take to grow back... can you tell whn YOUR hair is going to grow back to 7 inches if you cut it? No? I didn't think so =)

She is going gray because of the Poodle bloodline. It doesn't mean she is a "senior" or old.

You bought a mutt. As someone else mentioned, there is no such thing as a "goldendoodle". It is just a name someone conconcted that merges golden retriever and poodle. Same for all designer dog mutts. There is no way to determine how the puppies of two totally different breeds will turn out. They could be different colors, sizes, shapes, and have a dangerous mixture of the two dogs genetic diseases.

I feel sorry for you that you were sucked in to the lie of purporsely-bred mutts, but I also am disgusted that you would contribute to these wreckless-breeders' causes.
