Genetics at work. My mum started getting grey hairs at 13. her dad was totally white at 30. I've got a dozen or so grey hairs - I'm 27.

Its just different for different people. My grandfather went completely white at 18.

That's when I got my first gray hairs too! Only 7 (yes...I counted them obsessively!). I never got any more until I turned 30. Then suddenly I was getting more each year. This year, my boyfriend told me he was no longer going to pull them out. He kept getting eye strain. So I will have to take up hair colour this year.

OK lol it has nothing to do with what is in your body or what minerals or vitamins you are consuming. It only has to do with genetics. I got my first gray hair when I was 16. Do not worry and it may even be very attractive depending on how it is growing in. And I get a lot of compliments on my hair and ask if I had streaks put in and I say no it's natural. So, although it is technically called gray hairs mine is growing in a very shiny silver :) I would not worry to much and if you dislike it you can always dye it but don't go overboard as dyes can dry your hair :)

It's probably just genetics, but you're definitely NOT alone! It's pretty normal, it just depends on your background. A friend of mine had his first gray hair in fourth grade, actually it was WHITE. They went away for a while, but he started to have them again in 8th grade. So IDK, maybe yours will fade and come back when you're older, but either way, lucky for us, we can now dye our hair.. Maybe it might look like "unique" highlights soon??
